Frequently asked questions.
Can I have both NDIS plan management and aged care supports? +
Yes. Some people access both NDIS supports and aged-care services (through My Aged Care). A plan manager handles your NDIS funding; an aged-care case manager handles Home Care Package funds. The two systems should not fund the same support.
What happens to my NDIS plan when I turn 65? +
People who are already NDIS participants before age 65 can generally remain on the NDIS. People who become eligible for disability support after 65 are usually referred to aged care instead. Your plan manager can help you understand how this affects your current plan.
Can aged care providers be paid through NDIS plan management? +
Only if the support is funded in your NDIS plan and relates to your disability, not your age. Your plan manager will help ensure invoices are correctly categorised.
